Being a new mom, I don't always have time to make dinner. We have been very very busy with our baby. So lately we have been eating a lot of instant noodles. I consider myself quite the noodle connoisseur. So today we tested the new #Momofuku #instantnoodles in collab with A-Sha. We tried the original, Spicey soy, Soy Scallion and Tingly Chili.

Surprise! I am pregnant! I found out the gender of my baby just a few days before CNY, so I wanted to surprise my family with a gender reveal cake. Being pregnant means I am exhausted most of the time, so I wanted to do something very simple. I decided to put together a cake and thought some of my fellow non-bakers would also enjoy this "trick" homemade cake. Enjoy and watch to the very end to ...

This is my favorite way to have French toast. This French toast is anything but a healthy breakfast. It has a rich coconut custard and fragrant cinnamon. I have to pay homage to my Vietnamese roots and we all know coconut is quintessential Vietnamese ingredient. hmm...Maybe it should be called Vietnamese toast then? haha. This is just a simple recipe but I hope you enjoy it. 4 slices Chinese Co...

Easily one of my favourite weekday night meals. Super yummy and satisfying! For those that are not familiar with this dish...think of it as a Chinese "Bolognese" noodle dish. The sesame sauce is nutty and creamy. The meat topping is hearty with a bit of tartness from the mustard greens. Then there is a subtle heat from the chile oil which makes the sauce velvety and luscious and adding a mild a...

Every new year this is a staple in our home. Fried taro and turnip cake. Yummy fried foods is the only way to celebrate the Lunar New Year. Typically we always buy the cakes. Its so much easier that way than making the batter and steaming it yourself.....but frying it has its challenges too. Here is an easy tutorial on how you can serve your taro and turnip cake two ways. #Chinesenewyear #Taroc...

During the lockdown, one of the things I really missed the most was getting sushi. I wish I had known about #sushi #bake . This is absolutely genius. If you are no where near your favorite sushi restaurant or don't have access to fresh fish, this is a great alternative. Let's be honest....nothing can ever replace real sushi. I used to buy Peanut Chicken several times a week when a small deli nearby offered it decades ago. I guess they took it off the menu when the 'peanut allergy' scare swept the nation. I understand, but I love this dish and will be trying it myself soon. Thank you!

I just made this, adding cubed chicken (for protein) and garnishing with scallions and sesame seeds. Delicious! This was a hit with the whole family, and I will definitely make it again. (Note: I used 1/4 cup of low-sodium soy sauce and it was perfect. If using full sodium soy sauce, you might want to reduce the amount a bit unless you like your food salty.)

I think the major thing people are overlooking is that these are air dried NOT fried, so they are lower in fat than other ramen. As a heart patient, I’ve been looking for a good healthier ramen option so I’d like to try these.

I made these recently, but the noodles were mushy and all stuck together in a ball with the sauce. Did I overcook the noodles or not strain them enough? Or both?

8:01 Asian Sesame Paste is not the same as Tahini. Chinese Sesame Paste is made with toasted sesame seeds. Tahini is made with raw sesame seeds making the Sesame Paste stronger with more depth of flavor.
